The Role
The ANUM - PACU ORS is an experienced nurse who, within the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and:
- Supports the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Flow Manager (CNC-FM), the Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- With the NUM, the CNC-FM and the CNE’s, facilitates the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of patient flow and patient care activities within PACU.
- Supports excellence in clinical practice and promotes the development of nurses, ensuring the philosophy of nursing and standards of practice are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 12 hours per fortnight, commencing from 23 September 2025 until 22 September 2026.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification:
Salary $106,750 to $112,440 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications

Holds, or is working towards, Paediatric/Neonatal Resuscitation skills

Minimum 5 years’ specialist experience in PACU
- Current Advanced Life Support Certificate
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
