About the role

This role will be responsible for supporting the Australia West assets finance accounting and administration processes including period close, preparation and analysis of internal reports in an accurate and timely manner.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver on role expectations within set time frames and to the expected standard
• Implement and adapt to changes imposed from direct Manager
• Attend general accounts administration and ad hoc requests from Aust West Commercial Lead
• Review and reallocation of parts and labour costs
• Asset location / movement recon for EOM ownership cost allocation
• Preparation and posting of EOM journals in MACA Mining and Plant ledgers as required
• Preparation of maintenance wages and subcontract labour accruals workpapers
• Consolidation of asset NBV report for asset estimating and ROCE calculation purposes
• Investigate and clear out GRNI (greater than 90 days)
• Assist with Mid-year Forecast / End of year Budget
• Prepare forecast and budget tables for upload in to Pronto (PBI)
• Assist with Capital R&M True-up processsist with EOM reporting
• This role will be based in our office either Jakarta or Balikpapan

About you

• Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting with 5+ years in accounting, ideally with medium-large sized companies
• Experience in the mining and resource sector, contract mining experience is a plus
• Demonstrated experience in accounting and capitalisation for fixed assets is a plus
• Cost Accounting experience is desirable
• Intermediate or advanced excel skills is required
• Pronto & JDE experience is required
• High attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Takes pride in own work
• Shows initiative
• Excellent English communication skills
• Commitment to safety in the workplace
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm and results focused
