The Emerging Talent Program:
Spanning two years, our program will offer you three rotations of eight months. Working with you, we will ensure your rotations are tailored to the technologies you want to explore, skills you want to develop and the direction you want to take your career.

About our Information Technology Teams
With over 350 staff, the University’s technology teams are a key enabling factor for the University to deliver on its ambitions. We run the network for eight campuses, with 100TB outgoing internet traffic daily. We support over 650 technologies and nearly 700 applications, and we manage storage for 800TB enterprise data on premises. Beyond our enterprise, data and digital domains, we run specialist technology for research computing and deliver projects that uplift the experience of our students. Our diverse technology environment is supported by a cybersecurity team who use best-in-class tooling to evolve their defense capabilities and improve the University’s cyber resilience.

The eligibility requirements for our 2026 Emerging Talent Program, are as follows. As a graduate, you'll need to:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident or hold unrestricted working rights within Australia;
- Have completed your degree within the last 3 years (i.e. 2023, 2024, 2025) or be completing your degree by January 2026;
- Be able to commence full time employment in Melbourne, February 2026.
