About The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Team Assistant (Strategic Operations Support) to join our team in a 12-month maximum-term maternity leave cover role, based in Burswood, WA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual to provide high-level strategic and operational support to our WA Strategic Leadership Team.

This role goes beyond traditional Executive Assistant duties; it is about driving efficiencies, supporting strategic initiatives, and playing a key role in delivering business priorities. As a trusted advisor and reporting directly to the Head of Facility Management for WA & Resource, you will support project coordination, office operations, and continuous improvement across the business. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where your commercial acumen, initiative, and energy are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the WA Strategic Leadership Team.
  • Manage calendars, travel, expenses, and professional correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate leadership activities including planning sessions and workshops.
  • Support project tracking and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Review project plans and assist with operational and commercial improvement projects.
  • Act as liaison between leadership and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and track action items across multiple workstreams.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure an efficient work environment.
  • Manage office supplies, uniforms, and onboarding coordination.
  • Supervise a part-time office assistant as part of our inclusive employment program.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across the business.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

 

About You

You are a highly motivated professional who thrives on bringing structure and strategic support to a dynamic leadership environment. You bring a unique combination of strong business sense, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You are a natural problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities while contributing meaningfully to strategic objectives. You will also have:

  • Experience in a senior Executive Assistant, Team Assistant or business support role, ideally with exposure to strategic or project-based environments.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism, and judgement when handling sensitive matters.
  • A solutions-focused, energetic, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or C-suite executives (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration, communications, or a related field (desirable, not essential).
