We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our Apprenticeship & Traineeship Division. Based in Queensland, this position reports directly to the General Manager and will be pivotal in building partnerships and delivering tailored, outcome-driven workforce solutions.
In this dynamic role, you will take the lead in identifying and securing new business opportunities, promoting apprenticeships and traineeships to employers across a wide range of industries. You’ll consult with key stakeholders to develop workforce strategies that align business needs with sustainable career pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industry sectors to grow and increase our portfolio and achieving KPI targets
- Promote apprenticeship and traineeship programs as essential components of workforce development
- Collaborate with clients to understand their workforce needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, RTOs, and industry bodies
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for apprentices and trainees
You’re a strategic thinker, confident communicator, and relationship builder with a strong understanding of the employment and training landscape. You thrive in a results-focused environment and are passionate about delivering outcomes that benefit both businesses and job seekers.
You Will Bring
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Knowledge of apprenticeships, traineeships, or the vocational education and training (VET) sector
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a pipeline of opportunities, and achieve growth targets
- Current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel within the region as required
