Programmed Facility Management are seeking experienced Casual Cleaning & Kitchen Utility staff to join our Karratha Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Catering, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Oil & Gas Company situated in the Pilbara, WA.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of daily food and menu preparation, cooking and dining room service for Residents and Workers at the Facilities, in addition to cleaning and general upkeep of Accommodation Rooms, Village and/or Minesite facilities. That areas are kept clean, orderly, and properly always maintained. Ad hoc support to the Management Team is occasionally required.

Duties include:

  • Achieve completion targets within allocated timeframes, respond to timely ad-hoc cleaning requests
  • Assist other departments from time to time, if required
  • Assistance with the provision of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals including bulk food preparation, labelling etc.
  • Ensure all designated work areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness; ensure all kitchenware is washed and stored and rubbish is removed to standard, and service and living areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness
  • Ensure the main facility is presented tidy and organized at all time
  • Follow Cleaning Policies and Procedures
  • Housekeeping of Residents rooms within the Village environment as per schedule; stripping and making beds, removing, and replacing linen/towels, cleaning ensuites and all ablutions
  • Laundry duties such as removal and replacement of linen/towels, sorting, folding and storage
  • Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials/consumables levels, assist with EOM stock take audits
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentation
  • Maintenance of the kitchen premises and food production equipment
  • Minesite Cleaning of Site offices and facilities, crib rooms and all ablutions
  • Notifying the Supervisor of any maintenance requests/issues required within the Facility/Village/Site
  • Stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring
  • Use and store chemicals appropriately, maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials

 

About You

To join our team, you will have previous cleaning experience and be highly organized, possessing strong time and priority management skills. You will have a strong commitment to the hygiene and safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality work and service with a smile, at all times:

You will possess:

  • VALID C Class License
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Fit Testing, Functional Testing and Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Previous experience at a Minesite Village experience (desirable)
  • The following experience / qualifications with First Aid, Certificate III / IV Commercial Cookery or Hospitality or Cleaning (desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

  • Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., iClean, MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, be a self-motivator and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
  • Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
