About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a commercially savvy, relationship-focused Branch Sales Manager to lead our Barossa (SA) branch of a well-established commercial painting business and support the growth of our new Riverland (SA) location.

This is a key leadership role with a strong focus on new business development; you’ll build pipelines, win new clients, and drive growth across both regions.

You’ll oversee a small, capable team, including a Project Manager managing a crew of painters in Barossa and a Business Development Manager based in Riverland. While sales and new client acquisition are your top priorities, you’ll also provide leadership across both branches to ensure team performance, alignment, and excellent client delivery.

This full-time, permanent position based in Nuriootpa (SA) is perfect for someone with a strong background in sales or account management, proven team leadership skills, and the drive to grow a business within a supportive, well-established company.

Leveraging your strong leadership and business acumen, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive new business by identifying opportunities, pursuing leads, and building strong connections across the commercial sector.
  • Rebuild and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Project Manager and their team of painters, as well as to a remote Business Development Manager in a new branch interstate.
  • Take responsibility for managing the site’s P&L, including budget tracking, forecasting, and driving profitability.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and implement local business growth strategies.
  • Maintain a high-performing, customer-focused culture across your team.
  • Provide high-level guidance on project delivery and ensure client expectations are met.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and industry regulations.

About You

You’re a natural leader and relationship builder with a solid track record in sales, account management, or business development. You know how to develop and maintain strong commercial relationships, build and lead high-performing teams, and identify growth opportunities in a competitive market. You might not come from the paint industry, but you’ve likely worked in construction, trade services, or similar.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong experience in sales leadership, client relationship management, or account management.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive branch growth through both retention and acquisition.
  • Proven people leadership skills and a collaborative, supportive management style.
  • Experience managing or overseeing P&L, budgeting, and business performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • An understanding of trade or project-based businesses (painting, construction, facilities, etc.) is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • A commitment to our core values: Safety Leadership, Care & Empathy, Customer Service, and Diversity, Inclusion & Equality.
