The Role

A full-time opportunity exists for a Bid Manager / Technical Writer to join a successful and growing bid team based in the CBD.

Reporting to the Capital Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the management and writing of small and large tenders and proposals in water sector capital delivery team. You will work with an integrated pre-contracts and delivery team with a pipeline of capital opportunities > $200m across some of greater Melbourne’s biggest water infrastructure assets.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in and understanding of business development, the tender / bid process and coordination and writing of documents;
• Appropriate tertiary and/or post graduate qualification in marketing, journalism, or relevant engineering related discipline to demonstrate writing capability and creativity;
• An understanding of sales and businesses development processes;
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills;
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint;
• An ability to multi-task and meet several competing deadlines;
• An ability to demonstrate research and analytical skills; and
• A "can do" attitude working within a team.

This role would suit engineers who have delivered projects who are looking to get more active and involved in pre-contract works, or experienced Technical Writers and/or Bid Managers who want to work closely with subject matter technical and delivery experts.
