The Role
An opportunity is currently available for a Project Manager to join our team in Burswood. Reporting to the General Manager this role will be responsible for tendering, developing project management documentation and delivering relevant projects in the targeted segments.
The Project Manager will have a strong background in contractor side project delivery as the Head Contractor, along with proven experience in successfully delivering projects across various industries. The success applicant will have a network of subcontractors to enable competitive pricing and quality outcomes to be achieved. In addition, to delivering projects, the incumbent will actively assist with identifying project opportunities to continue to drive business growth. Assuming the role of project management subject matter expert, there is an expectation to provide coaching and support to supervisors, contract administrators and subcontracting teams. Depending on pipeline of works, there is the likelihood that the Project Manager will also deliver a small number of projects at any one time.
The role holder will also oversee quality control through project lifecycles, from initiation to handover, managing and achieving financial targets along with administrative requirements to deliver an exceptional service to the customer. In addition, there is an expectation that the candidate will effectively manage the maintain and develop close liaison with internal and external stakeholders to drive business success and ongoing works.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar would be highly regarded
- A proven track record in successfully delivering a variety of projects as a general builder Head Contractor
- Experience in Project Managing and Administrating Fit Out, Refurbishments & New build works under AS2124, AS4000 or similar.
- A demonstrated understanding of Australian WHS and Environmental legislation
- Effective use of works program tools such as Microsoft Project, P6 or PMBoK experience will be highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with all internal and external project stakeholders
