About The Opportunity

Programmed are looking for an experienced Gardener to join our team based in the Tweed region, committed to delivering exceptional maintenance services for one of our major aged care facility contracts. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team and to secure long-term employment with the bonus of working outdoors while earning a steady income.

Location: Murwillumbah

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and allocate tasks as required
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to help team members develop their skills and achieve their potential
  • Perform weed and pest control through spraying and manual weeding
  • Undertake all horticultural activities, including formative pruning and hedging of trees and shrubs
  • Implement mulching and planting programs
  • Use commercial small plant horticultural equipment
  • Ensure sites are maintained and presented to a high standard
  • Comply with all occupational health and safety processes and procedures
  • Operate a range of commercial out-front and zero-turn mowers and other small plant equipment

 

About You

To join our team, you will have qualifications or experience in horticulture, parks and gardens, gardening, or landscaping, with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:

  • A current driver's license and white card
  • A professional approach to the workplace
  • The ability to execute work to a high standard
  • A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems
