About The Opportunity 

Programmed Building Projects are currently seeking a Carpenter Foreperson to join our Wollongong team. Based in Unanderra, this is a great opportunity to be a part of a team that provides end-to-end management services for a variety of building, property, and infrastructure projects with a focus on refurbishments, fit-outs and remedial work for Aged Care, Education and the Government. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direction on and assisting in the delivery of the daily operations of building works on nominated customer sites. 

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time 

Location: Unanderra 

Reporting Line: Project Manager  
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with maintenance and installation of cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or any other building fixtures used in building and maintenance 

  • Use of hand tools, machines, or power saws as required 

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment 

  • Oversee and ensure the safe delivery of a variety of construction projects 

  • Engage in face-to-face client interactions 

  • Ensure compliance of all occupational health and safety processes and procedures 

  • Work alongside and train apprentices 

 

About You 

To be successful in this role, ideally, you will have experience working on commercial sites.  You will be required to provide hands-on trade duties, supervise and guide subcontractors, all to ensure quality and compliance to the highest level. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following: 

  • Trade qualification in Carpentry 

  • Be driven to deliver excellent results 

  • Previous industry experience, ideally within a fast-paced and multi-site commercial environment 

  • Current Driver’s License 

  • Good communication skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality finishes
