About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and quality standards across our Energy & Resources business that supports leading organisations across a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, renewables, logistics and industrial manufacturing.
This permanent, full-time role based in Wollongong (NSW) is pivotal in driving strong HSEQ outcomes. It leads client and site risk engagements, influences safety performance among field employees, and oversees investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
Through your HSEQ expertise and leadership, your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and implement robust environmental and quality management systems to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Lead initiatives to enhance environmental sustainability, waste management, and resource efficiency.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and assess environmental and quality performance, identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Provide strategic guidance on environmental and quality risks, ensuring proactive risk management.
- Drive the development and delivery of training programs to enhance HSEQ awareness and practices across teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a proven track record in HSEQ management, ideally within production, maintenance, staffing, or a similar operational environment. You’ll be highly proactive, an exceptional communicator, and adept at engaging with a wide range of personality types to drive positive safety outcomes.
Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in HSEQ or relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Experience in managing audits, compliance reporting, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
