About the opportunity

As a permanent Lifestyle Coach within the Pilgangoora Operations, you’ll be supporting a reputable mining and minerals organisation in the Pilbara.

You’ll support delivery of essential on-site services across the operations, helping create a safe, welcoming home away from home for remote workers that promotes health, fitness and overall well-being.

Located 140km south of Port Hedland, this role goes beyond operations. It’s about building care, consistency and community on site.

Key responsibilities

The Lifestyle Coach is responsible for overseeing and manage social, recreational, and sporting activities within the Village. The primary objective of this service is to foster a socially harmonious and cohesive environment while promoting health, fitness, and overall well-being for residents.

Duties include:

  • Plan, coordinate, promote and supervise social, recreational and sporting activities, including themed events, special calendar celebrations, community engagement initiatives, and both casual and structured sporting competitions to enhance resident interaction and wellbeing.
  • Design and deliver fitness and wellbeing programs, including gym-based workouts, warm-ups and stretching routines, walking groups and low-impact activities, while providing health, fitness and nutritional guidance and supporting healthy eating initiatives in collaboration with the Catering Team.
  • Develop and distribute a Village newsletter and calendar for upcoming sporting and social events, providing support to Village and Catering Management.
  • Maintain financial accountability by keeping detailed records of any funds raised, collected, or spent providing a weekly financial report to the Company.
  • Deliver presentations at project inductions to inform residents of the available health, recreation, and fitness services.
  • Ensure all events and activities are promoted and conducted in a safe and socially responsible manner, in compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Provide health and wellbeing, injury prevention and injury management support services to the personnel as required.

The incumbent is a key person to the Village Management Team and is involved in promoting positive staff morale and a safe work environment, ensuring quality systems, and supporting business and client focus within the PFM business and across the company.


About You

To join our team, the Lifestyle Coach will have demonstrated FIFO site experience with a strong background in Fitness and Wellbeing, complemented by strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse workforce and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with site leadership and support teams. Practical understanding of fatigue, recovery and wellbeing in remote or shift-based environments is paramount, in addition to strong observational and organisational skills to identify emerging psychosocial, safety and operational risks.

You will possess:

  • Australian Working Rights
  • VALID Australian C Class Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Group fitness and/or wellbeing facilitation experience, including yoga, meditation or recovery-based movement
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role at a Village / Minesite (desirable)
