On the back of Project growth within our Sydney Water (West) team we are looking to appoint a Mechanical tradesperson to work in our Major Periodic Maintenance Team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, as a Mechanical Tradesperson in our MPM team you will see yourself on the front line of installation and maintenance solving, diagnosing, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical issues. Collaborating with a close-knit team to meet client needs and deadlines.
Prior experience in maintenance or projects in an industrial or water facility would be highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out designated mechanical work to a high standard, ensuring quality outcomes are delivered within required timeframes...
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, removal, and installation of water and wastewater assets, including pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment.
- Provide technical input concerning the design, installation and maintenance tasks.
- Assist electrical trades where appropriate on project tasks.
- Liaise with clients and contractors on site while always maintaining a professional standard.
- Maintain compliance with all WHS requirements and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
What you will need:
- Mechanical Trade qualification
- Experience performing mechanical maintenance and repair tasks relevant to water, wastewater, or similar industrial environments.
Desirable:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements, including hazard identification and risk awareness.
- Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of fluid transfer equipment, including pumps, piping, and valves, is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices.
- Experience using online Work Order Management systems is advantageous.
- Hold a current full NSW driver’s licence.
