We are seeking a highly capable Data & Performance Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This role is critical in executing the data and performance strategy set by the Manager, Data & Performance, while ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the PFM WA Data & Performance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies and procedures, including data security, architecture, master data management, storage, and documentation.
  • Execute strategy through effective resource management, ensuring delivery against timelines, requirements, and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop meaningful reports and analytics, translating business needs into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with ICT to ensure optimal system performance and support continuity of reporting and analytics.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to operational and functional teams.
  • Identify and address data quality issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of tools and frameworks that enable business performance.
  • Conduct data analysis, research, modelling, and reporting as directed by the Manager, Data & Performance

  • Compliance with data governance and security frameworks
  • Delivery of high-quality outputs within agreed timelines
  • Accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data and reporting
  • Strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external partners
  • Contribution to the organisation’s big data and performance objectives

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate Diploma, Master’s in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Science
  • Data tools- Power BI
  • SQL, Python, or R
  • Formal training in data analysis, data modelling, and statistical techniques (required)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, including leading or coordinating teams to deliver outcomes
  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or significant relevant industry experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex systems, processes, and large datasets
