The Role

We have an outstanding opportunity for a focused and energetic individual to join our Open Space team as a Team Leader to support and add to our existing team.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the onsite implementation of Open Space maintenance across metropolitan Adelaide.  The role involves working with the senior leadership team in project planning, work scheduling, on-site supervision of employees and contractors and auditing the delivery of works on time with quality outcomes in a cost effective and safe manner. You will have strong time management skills and a passion for delivering a high-quality service to our existing and future customers.

 

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience operating ride-on mowing equipment and associated roadside maintenance plant and machinery
  • Demonstrated experience in grounds, vegetation, roadside, or open space maintenance operations
  • Experience leading and coordinating small operational teams in a field-based environment
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily service delivery activities
  • Competent in completing documentation, reporting, inspections, and compliance records
  • Sound understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) requirements
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Ability to effectively communicate with operational staff, subcontractors, traffic management providers, and management personnel
  • Experience conducting pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and daily safety briefings
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement appropriate controls in roadside environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and compliance requirements
  • Current Working with Children's Check (WWCC), police clearance or ability to obtain
