About the Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Mechanical breakdown repairs
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Installation, overhaul and commissioning of mechanical equipment
  • Pump, valve, gearbox and rotating equipment maintenance
  • Reading technical drawings and maintenance documentation
  • Completing work orders and maintenance records
  • Working safely in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

 

About You

To be successful you will have:

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Current Australian Trade Certificate
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety

 

Desirable

  • Experience within water, wastewater, manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights
  • EWP, Forklift or Dogging licences
  • Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo
  • First Aid certification
