About the Opportunity
Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team supporting accommodation and facilities services on Rottnest Island.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about service delivery, people leadership and maintaining high presentation standards. You will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day delivery of housekeeping and cleaning services across accommodation, visitor facilities and operational buildings, ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Working closely with the broader Island Operations team, you will play a key role in supporting a positive visitor experience at one of Western Australia's most iconic destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support a team of housekeeping and cleaning staff across multiple island facilities.
- Coordinate daily work schedules and allocate resources to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure accommodation, visitor facilities, ablutions and operational buildings are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Monitor service quality, conduct inspections and address any performance or presentation issues.
- Manage cleaning consumables, chemical storage requirements and stock levels.
- Coordinate and respond to maintenance requests, reporting issues as required.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching and support to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all cleaning procedures, safety requirements and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records including staffing, inventories, audits and operational reporting.
- Build positive relationships with guests, clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an organised and motivated leader with previous cleaning or housekeeping supervisory experience and a strong commitment to customer service.
You will also possess:
- Previous experience in a Cleaning Supervisor, Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Sound understanding of cleaning processes, chemical handling and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and operational systems.
- A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Valid WA C-Class Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Australian Working Rights
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and stayover shifts
Highly Regarded
- Experience within tourism, hospitality, accommodation services or remote operations
- Previous experience managing accommodation or housekeeping teams
- Experience with cleaning management systems and inventory controls
