We’re building a pool of experienced Casual Chefs to support our FIFO operations across multiple sites throughout Western Australia.

This is a genuine casual opportunity with no fixed roster. You’ll be contacted when we have requirements across our sites, giving you the flexibility to take on FIFO work when you're available.

Assignments can vary in length depending on operational requirements, but are generally expected to be a week or more.

The Opportunity

As part of our casual Chef pool, you may be deployed to different FIFO sites across WA to support our kitchen teams during periods of increased demand, leave coverage, mobilisation or other operational requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals for large-scale FIFO camp operations
• Delivering consistent food quality and presentation across meal periods
• Working efficiently within a high-volume production kitchen
• Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
• Completing food preparation, service and kitchen duties as required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Working collaboratively with Chefs, Kitchen Supervisors and wider village teams
• Adapting quickly to different sites, teams and kitchen environments
• Supporting the kitchen team wherever required

About You

We’re looking for experienced FIFO Chefs who can step into a new site and quickly become a reliable member of the kitchen team.

You will have:

• Previous FIFO Chef experience – essential
• Cert III in Commercial Cookery – essential
• Experience working in large-scale catering, camp or production kitchens
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The flexibility to work across different FIFO sites and rosters when required
• A reliable and adaptable approach to work
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
• Australian working rights that allow you to undertake casual FIFO work
