Are you someone who enjoys connecting business needs with practical technology solutions?

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team. Perth or Melbourne based, this is  a key role in supporting technology-enabled change across the business.

A great opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive technology team, working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners to understand challenges, define requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.

About the Role

As an IT Business Analyst, you will work across the technology delivery lifecycle — from discovery and requirements gathering through to solution assessment, testing, implementation and operational handover.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, analyse and improve business processes, and translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams and delivery partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Engage with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business objectives, challenges, processes and technology needs.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Analyse, prioritise and document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps and identify gaps, risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into clear deliverables for technical teams, vendors and delivery partners.
  • Assess proposed solutions against agreed business requirements and identify gaps, impacts and dependencies.
  • Support test planning, test case development, UAT, defect triage and resolution.
  • Support implementation activities including business readiness, communications, training requirements and operational handover.
  • Identify and communicate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies that may impact delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, templates and ways of working.

About You

You will be a practical and collaborative Business Analyst who can confidently work between business and technology teams. You will be comfortable asking questions, challenging constructively and turning complex business needs into clear, achievable outcomes.

You will bring:

  • 2 -5 + years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or similar within a technology delivery environment.
  • Experience supporting technology projects through discovery, requirements definition, solution assessment, testing and implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Strong process analysis and process improvement skills.
  • Experience developing requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and supporting documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with sound judgement and a practical approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to maintaining quality and traceability of BA documentation.
  • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Why join us?

We offer more than just a role — you’ll be joining a great team in a supportive and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to make a genuine impact through technology and business improvement.

Our benefits include:

  • Flexible hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from home.

  • Opportunities to work across a diverse range of technology initiatives and business areas.
  • Professional development and opportunities to build your skills and career.
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • A workplace where collaboration, practical problem-solving and customer focus are valued.
