The Opportunity:
With an exciting pipeline of projects on the horizon, CPB Contractors are recruiting experienced Accountants for upcoming opportunities throughout Townsville, QLD.
You will be responsible for providing a responsive accounting service that fulfils CPB’s internal and external reporting requirements, while meeting the accounting needs of key stakeholders. This role will be working on the NQMTR project.

What will a day in this role look like:
- Monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting for the project in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigation and resolution of financial and reporting queries.
- Ensure accounting and cost controls are in place and working effectively.
- Maintenance of project accounting systems.
- Oversee and monitor accounts processing ensuring the correct level of authorisation in accordance with company policy and legislation.
- Manage the financial process of monthly subcontractor progress claims, supplier invoice processing, budget changes, forecasting.
What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar site-based role on a major Tier 1 construction/civil infrastructure project.
- Previous experience working with JDE and FPM systems would be highly regarded.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and application.
- Advanced skills in Excel and all other Microsoft products.
