The Project 

Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River.

The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations.

This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, the Systems Coordinator’s key responsibilities are:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation’s systems, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively, enhancing overall productivity
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement the best systems to help the Alliance achieve its objectives; e.g. assessment and implementation of best systems for performance management, procurement, construction support, etc.
  • Work closely with other departments to understand their systems needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Manage software licensing, including procurement, renewal, and compliance with licensing agreement
  • Set up and maintain intranet pages for the Project, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and meet the needs of the team
  • Integration of system requirements from the functional areas into project records within management systems and applications
  • Management configuration, and administration of mobile applications for completion of construction records, including new users, and system issues
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on new systems and software, ensuring they are well-equipped to use the tools effectively as well as provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of the hazards and associated SHE risk and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimize those risks
  • Actively liaise / build strong relationships and networks with client, Alliance project team, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Major Construction Projects (desirable)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience in systems management, configurations, and integrations
  • Strong understanding of software licensing and compliance

Note this role will initially be based in our Alliance office in Brisbane but will transition to a full time, site-based basis. You must be willing to work on site either FIFO or DIDO
