About North East Link

The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

 

About the Opportunity

The North East Link project is looking for a Senior Communication Advisor to join the team based in Abbotsford. This role will primarily oversee the development and implementation of promotional and organisational communications to enhance the reputation of the project and its delivery partners, promote a positive team culture, celebrate important project milestones and support the effective delivery of project forums and briefings.

 

This role will be accountable for:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of internal project collateral and communications across a range of digital channels, print and events such as presentations, briefings and meetings.
  • Ensure the proactive and timely release of high quality, accurate project related communications, including important project milestones and staff wellbeing initiatives.
  • Champion and drive the organisational values and culture and embed this into all project related communications.
  • Promote the project and delivery partner vision, culture, values and behaviour
  • Establish positive effective relationships with project team members, project partners and the client across all levels to facilitate the delivery of effective, positive and inclusive internal project communications

Minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (Disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, communications, marketing)
  • Experience in communications, engagement, marketing or similar field
  • Willingness and ability to work co-operatively and creatively in a sensitive, complex and demanding environment, with a high degree of responsibility and self-management.
  • Strong attention to detail is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint.
