About North East Link

The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public-Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

About the Opportunity

As a Hexagon Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation, administration, and support of Hexagon Smart Completions software for the Spark North East Link Project. This role combines technical expertise with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support end users in conforming to best practice application use, as well as enhancing and adapting applications to the evolving needs of the business.

This role works closely with the Construction ME&I delivery team, who are the key users of Hexagon Smart Completions and will provide technical inputs for software changes.

This role will be accountable for:

• Smart Cloud and Hexagon user administration:

  • Ensuring subcontractors are onboarded as guests to Spark systems
  • Adding and removing users to Smart Cloud as required
  • Configuring users with appropriate roles and project access in Hexagon
  • Updating user roles and project access in Hexagon where required
  • Maintaining roles and role profiles to ensure suitability for use

• Hexagon data management:

  • Preparing Excel templates for data capture, and coordinate with relevant technical personnel to ensure the templates are populated correctly with the accurate data
  • Uploading data to Hexagon Smart Completions
  • Managing Forms Library, which includes uploading documents with the correct name and revision to Hexagon Smart Completions
  • Digitising ITR Templates to Hexagon Smart Completions format
  • Creating Tasks based on the instructions from the Senior Project Engineers

• Day-to-day Hexagon change request execution and maintain management of change register:

  • Once a change request is approved by an authorised person from the ME&I delivery team, action the change in the Hexagon software. This may include changes in configuration data, asset data, and execution data (Tasks).

• Management of support requests in Jira service management:

  • Providing level 1 support to all Hexagon users
  • Escalating to level 2 support where appropriate
  • Ensuring all support requests are resolved in a timely manner
  • Providing in-person support to users where appropriate

The ideal candidate for this role would have the following attributes:

  • Be highly adaptable to learn new software, application platforms and management systems
  • Have excellent customer service skills - must be approachable and responsive to queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Have outstanding oganisational skills and time management
  • Have great problem-solving skills and be able to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have great communication skills

Minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Experience in processing and validating large volumes of data. This includes preparing and analysing data sets, and identifying data-related issues
  • Experience in or ability to learn Hexagon Smart Completions/Smart Cloud software as an administrator (2-day training will be provided)
  • Experience in or ability to learn Jira Service Management would be advantageous
  • Experience in ME&I delivery, in particular basic knowledge of ME&I would be highly desirable
  • Experience in service desk level 2 & 3 support would be advantageous
  • Certificate/degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience would be advantageous
