The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide administrative support to the broader field-based project safety team
  • Administer & maintain a comprehensive database of project related health & safety data & prepare it for reporting to deadlines
  • Develop safety communications, including Daily Pre-Starts and Toolbox Talks
  • Develop and disseminate minutes from meetings
  • Assist in the coordination of safety related activities, including things such as inspections, actions, and equipment servicing
  • Maintain an inventory and coordinate the replenishment of safety related equipment and stock (i.e. PPE consumables)
  • Assist in the monitoring and improving safety performance metrics
  • Monitor and proactively manage the close out of improvement actions
  • Support the delivery team in monitoring training and competency compliance
  • Records management to support compliance requirements, including collation of evidence for audit purposes

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant experience in an administration role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of the Microsoft suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of project risk management controls and actions
  • Knowledge of auditing, safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes
  • Strong ability to develop excellent working relationships with all staff
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or Business Administration (preferred, not essential)
