About North East Link 

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

About the Opportunity

Are you highly organised and passionate about making a real impact? We’re looking for a dynamic individual to support our Learning & Development and Facilities Management team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality training administration and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our office environment. This role will be accountable for:

  • Maintaining accurate records of Training for the project
  • Administering HR/Training records including data entry into the applicable Training Systems
  • Providing office support each Monday morning and Thursday by overseeing reception, amenities, vehicles, uniforms, first aid, mail, and records to ensure a well-run and professional environment

Training Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Uploading competencies into Damstra
  • Scheduling of training to meet the gaps identified
  • Administering HR/Training records including data entry into the applicable Training Systems, ensuring they are accurate and up to date at all times
  • Supporting the Senior Training Advisor with organising and tracking training for the project
  • Ensuring Attendance Register sheets are issued, completed and returned for every training session
  • Maintaining accurate records of Training for the project
  • Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within the People & Capability administrative function and with Project Team members

Office Support responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional reception area and meeting rooms
  • Coordinating meeting room bookings and provide reception support on Monday mornings and Thursdays
  • Managing uniform distribution in line with policy and ensure first aid kits are compliant and stocked
  • Overseeing pool vehicle scheduling, servicing, and general upkeep
  • Monitoring office supplies and maintain accurate records for mail handling and inventory control

Minimum requirements for this role:

  • 2+ years' experience in Training and Development Administration 
  • Demonstrated administration experience
  • Experience in liaising with RTOs and training organisations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Suit
  • Experience within the rail, transport, construction, mining & resources or engineering industries (project experience) preferable
