The Project
With an exciting pipeline of projects on the horizon, CPB Contractors is recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager for our newly awarded $600M project located in Townsville, QLD.
Your opportunity
The Contracts Manager is accountable for ensuring financial and operational commitments are met or exceeded. Also ensuring that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are exploited to deliver increased turnover and profitability and supporting the project decision making.
What will a day in this role look like:
- Identifying, evaluating and submitting all potential variations/claims
- Supervising the preparation of variations, claims, EOT’s as needed on the project
- Addressing contractual matters with client/consultants/subcontractors/suppliers and negotiating variations, claims, EOT and mitigating any contractual disputes
- Supervise the contract administration team to ensure all contracts agreements are administered in accordance with the conditions and provisions of the contract agreements (including correspondence, variations, claims and payments).
- Inclusion of back-to-back main contract conditions
- Drafting and insertion of relevant special conditions
- Inclusion of all necessary technical data, drawings and specifications
- Inclusion of appropriate time / schedule information and provisions
- Manage the end of month accruals process for subcontractors (and major suppliers)
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Economics / Law / Business
- Demonstrated experience in project commercial, contract and/or cost management background working with the construction industry
- Commercial and business acumen
- Negotiation and influencing skills
This role is locally based and for those outside of Townsville, relocation is required. LAFHA (for eligible individuals) and relocation allowance will be made available to the successful applicant.
