About North East Link 

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

About the Opportunity

As an Assistant Contracts Administrator, you will support the effective management and administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts across the project. Working closely with the Contracts Administrator and Senior Contracts Administrators as well as the wider project team, you will assist in ensuring contracts are accurately maintained, compliant, and administered in line with project requirements.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in contract administration within a major infrastructure environment, contributing to successful project delivery through attention to detail, organisation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support the financial administration of the project, including tracking costs and processing claims
  • Provide general administrative support to the site office and project team
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly project reports, including compiling progress, program, and cost data
  • Maintain organised contract records, documentation, and registers
  • Support the review of contract terms and assist with correspondence and follow-ups with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Contribute to maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines to deliver outputs to required quality and timeframes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Economics, Law, or Business is highly desirable but not essential

About You:

  • Previous experience in a construction or infrastructure environment is desirable
  • Exposure to Tier 1 projects is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Developing understanding of contract administration and commercial principles
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
