Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors, have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the western section of the HumeLink high-voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project that will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network across Australia's eastern states. As one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, HumeLink comprises approximately 365km of new transmission lines and associated infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works, valued at approximately $1.4 billion, includes the delivery of new 500kV double-circuit transmission lines spanning approximately 140km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the interface point with HumeLink East near Gundagai, and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Systems Management
- Establish and maintain Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) for new projects and tenders.
- Ensure project documentation complies with CPB Contractors' Quality Management System requirements.
- Maintain document control processes, workflows and registers throughout project delivery.
- Support project teams in managing controlled documents, records and correspondence.
- Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of quality and document control systems.
Training & Stakeholder Support
- Deliver training and ongoing support to project teams, engineers and document controllers on EDMS usage and document control procedures.
- Act as the Business Unit champion for document control systems and provide guidance on system updates and best practices.
- Work closely with Quality Engineers and project teams to ensure seamless document management throughout project execution.
Quality & Compliance
- Support the Quality Manager with audits, documentation reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of project quality documentation, including Quality Management Plans and Project Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and regulatory obligations.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent administrative experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Experience & Skills
- 2-5 years' experience in a Document Control, Quality Coordinator or similar role within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Sound knowledge of document control principles and electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized approach to work.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train and support users across multiple teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
