CPB Contractors is part of the ACS Group, the world’s leading data centre builder, with more than 9GW delivered globally across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Together with our global peers, Leighton Asia and Turner, we deliver mission critical facilities for major technology clients, supporting the infrastructure backbone of the AI economy.

Your opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the team delivering a major data centre project that will support Australia's growing digital infrastructure.

This is a key site-based role where you'll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day construction activities, leading trades and subcontractors, and helping ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard.

Data centre projects are fast-paced, highly coordinated environments with a lot of moving parts. Success comes from planning ahead, building strong relationships on site and addressing issues before they become problems. If you're the type of supervisor who enjoys being out in the field, working closely with trades and seeing work progress from plan to reality, this could be a great opportunity.

Key responsibilities

You'll be the driving force behind day-to-day site operations, ensuring trades are coordinated, problems are solved quickly and work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll know what's happening on site, what's coming up next and what needs attention before it becomes an issue. With strong relationships, clear communication and a practical approach, you'll help keep the project moving and create an environment where teams can do their best work.

In this role, you'll:

  • Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors, keeping work fronts productive and aligned to programme.
  • Maintain a visible presence on site, building strong relationships and addressing issues before they impact delivery.
  • Plan ahead, reviewing upcoming works, resource requirements and potential constraints to keep progress on track.
  • Monitor the quality of works and finishes, ensuring they meet project standards and client expectations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and fellow Supervisors to achieve key milestones and project outcomes.
  • Champion a positive safety culture, leading by example and ensuring safe work practices are embedded across the site.
  • Take ownership of your area, making decisions, solving problems and helping the team deliver their best work every day.

What you'll bring

You'll have previous experience supervising construction works and understand what it takes to keep people, programme and quality aligned on a busy project.

More importantly, you'll be someone who is respected on site, communicates well with trades and leads by example. You'll know when to step in, when to escalate issues and how to keep work moving while maintaining high standards.

We're looking for someone who is practical, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change and collaboration is critical.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience supervising commercial, industrial, infrastructure or data centre projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site operations
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts
  • A commitment to safety and quality outcomes
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day site activities

We’re always looking for ways to make CPB Contractors a more rewarding place to work and offer a unique set of benefits, including:

  • A rewarding career where we support your development, training and promote from within.
  • Opportunities across all construction sectors so that there is always an opportunity suitable for the next stage in your career.
  • Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance.
  • Flexible work arrangements and a culture that values diversity and innovation.

Please note: This role is being sourced through CPB Contractors directly and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
