We hire for careers, not project life. CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.

Your Opportunity

CPB Contractors is seeking an experienced Quality & Completions Manager to join our team on a major transport infrastructure project based on the Sunshine Coast. The project involves the delivery of new rail infrastructure, stations and associated civil construction, providing improved transport access across Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in managing quality assurance and project completions across the project lifecycle. Working closely with the project leadership, engineering, construction and commissioning teams, you will lead the development and delivery of quality and completions strategies, ensuring all project deliverables are completed, verified and handed over to the client in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of project quality and completions plans, systems, processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and project specifications.
  • Oversee quality assurance and control activities across all stages of construction, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Manage the project completions process, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), verification records, quality documentation, defect management and handover deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate quality inspections, audits, surveillance activities and non-conformance management, ensuring issues are identified, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, construction, commissioning and subcontractor teams to drive quality outcomes and ensure completion milestones are achieved.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and reporting on quality and completions performance, promoting continuous improvement and a proactive culture of quality across the project.

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a relevant discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, or a trade qualification in a construction-related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction quality management, including demonstrated experience on major infrastructure or complex construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing project completions, including quality documentation, inspections, testing, defect management and client handover processes.
  • Experience as a Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems, with a strong understanding of integrated Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) management systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, quality assurance principles, construction methodologies and Tier 1 contractor quality frameworks.

We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, mature workers, Veterans and Active Defence Reserve members, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds. • A rewarding career where we support your development, training and promote from within.
  • Opportunities across all construction sectors so that there is always an opportunity suitable for the next stage in your career.
  • Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance.
  • Flexible work arrangements and a culture that values diversity and innovation.
