CPB Contractors is seeking a Temporary Work Design Coordinator to join our project team in regional Victoria, based near Ararat. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating design activities, managing interfaces between disciplines, and ensuring designs are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and constructability.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys working in a collaborative project environment and has experience managing complex stakeholder and design coordination activities across major infrastructure or construction projects.

Your Opportunity

  • Coordinate design activities across multiple disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure design interfaces are effectively managed and resolved.
  • Review designs for compliance with statutory, legislative, construction, and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate the resolution of technical and construction-related design issues.
  • Monitor design matters arising from defect rectification, value engineering initiatives, and external stakeholder interfaces.
  • Coordinate construction support activities, including design inspections and supervision where required.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of design outcomes.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
  • Experience coordinating designs within construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience managing and liaising with design consultants.
  • The ability to manage project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to complex project environments.
