We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to play a pivotal role in the commercial and contractual management of complex, high-value projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead contract administration, commercial negotiations, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring project outcomes are delivered in line with contractual obligations and business objectives.

Your opportunity

• Lead the administration and management of major construction and engineering contracts.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to project and executive leadership teams.
• Manage contract negotiations, variations, claims, extensions of time, and dispute resolution.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Develop and implement contract management strategies and governance processes.
• Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations and key deliverables.
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and subcontract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop commercial and contracts team members.

About You

• Degree qualified in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience managing complex construction or infrastructure contracts
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts, PPPs, NEC, FIDIC, and collaborative contract models.
• Demonstrated success in managing claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
• Excellent commercial acumen and risk management capability.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-profile project environments.
