CPB Contractors in joint venture with UGL and supported by EIC, fellow CIMIC Group companies, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more. 

Being an integrated member of the ACS company group, we will leverage and empower this build by drawing on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW buildings featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security​ systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works​.

Your opportunity

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining quality standards? We are seeking a proactive Quality Advisor to support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project by ensuring quality documentation, records, and compliance processes are accurately maintained.

Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the project team by administering quality management systems, maintaining project records, and ensuring all documentation is compliant with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor and improve the construction quality and verification processes in accordance with the contract documents and the Leakes Rd Quality management plan.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of workpacks and work process documentation including construction procedures, ITPs and checklists and accordance to the CPB Leakes Rd quality framework.
  • Evaluate and inspect supplier and subcontractor quality systems, processes and products.
  • Monitor and review subcontractors’ quality deliverables and ensure they fulfil their quality obligations.
  • Monitor the establishment of worklots and coordinate inspection of works and products with the construction team.
  • Attend and release Hold and Witness Point inspections where nominated.
  • Undertake and report audits in accordance with the audit schedule.
  • Identify, report and investigate the cause of non-conforming work to achieve closed status.
  • Review proposed correction and corrective action to address non-conformance and audit findings and re-inspect to confirm compliance and corrective action is effective.
  • Review compliance records and close out work lots.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the Project quality management system, processes and product.
  • Compile data and information for weekly/monthly quality performance reports and provide feedback to site construction meetings and other forums.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss quality performance and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct quality/management system training where required.
  • Maintain and manage quality documentation, registers and records where necessary.
  • Support the implementation of the Project Quality Management System.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Quality Administrator, Document Controller, Project Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience working within construction, engineering, infrastructure, rail, utilities, or major projects environments.
  • Strong document management and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
