CPB Contractors in joint venture with UGL and supported by EIC, fellow CIMIC Group companies, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Being an integrated member of the ACS company group, we will leverage and empower this build by drawing on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.
The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW buildings featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator looking to play a key role on major infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects. You will be a proactive and commercially minded professional who will support the successful delivery of projects by managing contracts, variations, claims, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will work closely with project delivery teams to ensure contractual compliance, mitigate risk, and maximise project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer head contracts and subcontract agreements from award through to project completion.
- Manage contract correspondence, notices, variations, extensions of time, and claims.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Prepare and assess progress claims, payment schedules, and contract documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, registers, and commercial reporting.
- Support procurement activities including tender evaluation and subcontract negotiations.
- Assist with forecasting, cost control, and project financial reporting.
- Identify contractual risks and support dispute resolution processes.
- Collaborate with project, finance, and legal teams to ensure project compliance.
About You
- Experience as a Contracts Administrator within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of contract administration principles and commercial management.
- Experience working with subcontractors, procurement processes, and project controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to review and interpret complex contractual documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Law, or a related field is highly regarded.
