The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), a partnership between CPB Contractors and Downer, is preparing for our next phase of project delivery and seeking experienced Project Engineers - Building, Trades & Works who are interested in joining our team from January 2027 onwards.
About the Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is delivering approximately $1.7 billion in infrastructure upgrades and replacement works across key Defence establishments, including:
- Albury-Wodonga Military Area (AWMA)
- RAAF Base Wagga (RBW)
- Blamey Barracks Kapooka (BBK)
Project scope includes:
- New accommodation and living-in facilities
- Training and mess facilities
- Building refurbishments and upgrades
- Major infrastructure and services upgrades
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering building and construction work packages safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
We are particularly interested in speaking with Project Engineers who have experience across:
- Commercial building projects
- Defence infrastructure
- Accommodation and residential developments
- Education facilities
- Health and hospital projects
- Large-scale fitout programs
- Trades and finishing packages
- Facades, roofing and building envelopes
- Precast and structural works
- Commissioning and handover activities
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Managing building work packages from planning through to completion
- Monitoring cost, quality and programme performance
- Resolving engineering and technical issues
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards
- Driving a strong Zero Harm culture across the project
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Degree qualification in Engineering
- Approximately 5+ years' project engineering experience within the construction industry
- Strong building construction background
- Experience managing subcontractors, trades and work packages
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong commercial and delivery focus
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
