The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), a partnership between CPB Contractors and Downer, is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Site Engineers - Infrastructure, Trades & Works for upcoming opportunities commencing from January 2027 across the Riverina region.

About the Project

RRJV is delivering approximately $1.7 billion of Defence infrastructure upgrades and replacement works across:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (AWMA)
  • RAAF Base Wagga (RBW)
  • Blamey Barracks Kapooka (BBK)

The program includes major infrastructure upgrades, utilities, civil works, accommodation facilities, training facilities, building refurbishments, and associated services works that will support Defence capability for decades to come.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the safe, efficient and successful delivery of major infrastructure, services, civil, trades and works packages across the project.

We are particularly interested in speaking with Site Engineers who have experience delivering:

  • Civil infrastructure projects
  • Services and utilities upgrades
  • Roads, pavements and earthworks
  • Stormwater, water and sewer infrastructure
  • Underground services and utility relocations
  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or fire services packages
  • Defence, mining, transport or major infrastructure projects
  • Trades coordination and multidisciplinary works

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating subcontractors and site-based construction activities
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
  • Managing RFIs, variations and technical queries
  • Monitoring progress against programme and delivery milestones
  • Supporting cost, quality and productivity outcomes
  • Coordinating inspections, testing and commissioning activities
  • Building strong relationships with project stakeholders
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong Zero Harm safety culture

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience delivering infrastructure, civil, utilities or major construction projects
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and work crews
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to safety
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
