CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2-kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park station.

Reporting to the Testing and Commissioning Manager the Rail Systems T&C Manager - you will effectively project manage the testing and commissioning (T&C) of the defined project area to ensure its completion in accordance with project objectives, including: safety, profit, cost, quality, time, environmental management, validation and verification.

You will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating the handover and handback of the rail systems between the construction and commissioning teams. 
  • Chair readiness reviews with the package parties and client team
  • Developing and reviewing T&C planning
  • Accountability for the testing and commissioning of a designated area
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Organise resourcing to support the testing schedule
  • Input to cost and program reviews and updates where needed 

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • A recognised degree in electrical, mechanical, controls engineering based discipline. Other relevant technical tertiary qualifications may be considered
  • Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) desirable.
  • Relevant experience in project delivery at a senior level
  • Manage teams across whole of project to deliver work
  • Demonstrated commercial experience to include project planning through full project life cycle
