The Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel based in North Sydney, working with our Corporate Legal team on a permanent basis. This role will support our team with the delivery of expert legal services on iconic construction projects across Australia.

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Provide commercially relevant advice to our bid teams in the formation, review and closing of contracts for large scale projects.
• Drafting and developing tender qualifications that address project risks.
• Support the resolution of contractual issues that arise on projects during delivery.
• Negotiating contract amendments with clients, joint venture partners and external lawyers.

Our Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years PQE with a strong focus on front end construction contracts work.
• Bachelor of Law (LLB or equivalent)
• Qualified to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction - holding a current practising certificate
• In-depth understanding of the legal aspects of construction projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
