Your opportunity
This is the kind of project that doesn't come along every day and some projects are bigger than the job title. We're looking for a Construction Manager to lead delivery on a major data centre project that will help power Australia's growing digital infrastructure. This is a complex build with demanding programme targets, multiple stakeholders and a huge amount of activity happening simultaneously.
You'll be the person bringing it all together on site. Leading teams, driving subcontractor performance, solving problems before they become delays and creating the environment that allows people to do their best work. It's a role for someone who enjoys being in the thick of delivery, making decisions, influencing outcomes and seeing tangible progress every day. Key responsibilities
As Construction Manager, you'll take ownership of the successful delivery of the CSA scope, leading construction activities across multiple work fronts and driving performance on site.
You'll work closely with the Project Director, Project Manager and wider leadership team to maintain momentum, manage risks and ensure key milestones are achieved. From coordinating subcontractors and overseeing daily operations to resolving issues and driving accountability, you'll play a critical role in keeping the project moving forward.
This is a highly visible leadership role. You'll be out on site, engaging with teams, making decisions and proactively addressing challenges before they impact programme, safety, quality or productivity.
What you'll bring
You'll bring proven experience leading the delivery of major construction projects, ideally with significant exposure to complex CSA packages.
Just as importantly, you'll be a leader who can build trust, challenge constructively and get the best out of the people around you. You're comfortable making decisions, navigating competing priorities and maintaining focus when the pressure is on.
We're looking for someone who can quickly assess what's happening on site, identify where support or intervention is needed, and take action to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
You'll also bring:
- Experience leading large-scale building, infrastructure or mission-critical projects
- Strong CSA delivery experience across concrete, structural and architectural works
- A track record of achieving programme, quality, safety and commercial outcomes
- The ability to lead and influence subcontractors, supervisors and project teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions
