Temporary Works Coordinator

 Job Description:

• Report directly to the Design Manager
• Ensure all temporary works (TW) are adequately designed, checked, constructed, and dismantled
• Coordinate with the Temporary Works Designer (TWD) to ensure timely provision and response to all forms and permits
• Proactively participate in task reviews to evaluate and reach consensus on alternative TW design options
• Authority to stop work and require suitable rectification to comply with TW construction drawings and agreed method statements
• Identify and mitigate Class 1 risks, ensuring safety and risk management
• Maintain an independent view to ensure work progresses safely
• Strong personal attributes to stand up to pressure, question and challenge non-compliances, and take action when necessary
• Appropriate training and awareness of responsibilities under this procedure

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering and construction experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Structural engineering
• Experience in the design and engineering of temporary works
• Strong understanding of safety and risk management
• Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure timely provision and response to forms and permits
• Personal attributes to stand up to pressure and take an independent view to ensure work progresses safely
