About the Role

As the Digital Engineering Manager, you will oversee the Digital Engineering Team responsible for 2D drafting, 3D modeling, 4D programming, and overall BIM/Digital Engineering service delivery. You will support internal operating companies within the CIMIC Group, ensuring standards implementation, fostering innovation, and optimizing service efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Engineering Operations & Management

  • Lead and manage the Digital Engineering team, including resource allocation and project task progress.

  • Develop and maintain Digital Engineering Management Plans (DEMP).

  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards, including ISO19650.

  • Oversee template creation, quality control, and BIM outputs.

  • Develop workflows, automation routines, and process improvements.

  • Conduct model audits and manage coordinated information models.

  • Provide internal training, onboarding orientations, and skills assessments.

Project Coordination & Monitoring

  • Collaborate with project personnel on technical requirements.

  • Provide guidance on DE tasks and monitor deliverables.

  • Support 2D/3D deliverables including shop drawings, CSD, CBWD.

  • Track task progress, identify delays, and implement mitigation plans.

  • Ensure software interoperability and adherence to contract requirements.

Compliance Review

  • Review models and drawings for compliance with BIM standards.

  • Ensure documentation, record keeping, and governance.

  • Resolve non-compliance issues and oversee quality management systems.

People Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the DE team; drive a positive and innovative team culture.

  • Conduct client-facing presentations and training workshops.

  • Manage performance evaluations and support staff capability growth.

  • Align team direction with CIMIC and Leighton Asia corporate values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Built Environment.

  • 5+ years DE/BIM management experience.

  • 8+ years BIM technical/coordination experience.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong proficiency in BIM/DE tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla, etc.).

  • Background in multidiscipline project environments.

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and risk management skills.

  • Ability to administer DE Management Plans and oversee digital information management.

  • Strong presentation, training, and communication capabilities.

  • Experience with design management and construction delivery.
