About the role
In this role, you will:
- Support mining operations with identification/implementation of operational improvement opportunities and priorities, programmes, and productivity targets within the mining business; Supply of mine planning and engineering training resources to sites as required; and development and implementation of both long-term mine plans and new mine planning technology to meet changing requirements and expectation.
- Lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results
- Sets a growth/profit strategy outside the normal paradigm to achieve significant business/project results.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, statutory obligations and Thiess policy.
- Manage business improvement team to assist with identification and implementation of operational improvements across sites.
- Facilitate liaison with Plant Department to assist in identifying operational related issues which on Plant Department performance.
- Ensure development plan is available for team members so that they keep up with required skills & competencies for current and future roles.
About you
- Graduated from Tertiary Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years previous experience in Managerial role in Technical or Mining Operations role, preferably have PM experience previously.
- Has previous experience at a mine site.
- Awareness of Indonesian Mine operation regulatory requirements.
- Indonesia culture understanding of TCI’s business & industry best practice & standards
- Manage internal and external relationships with ability to influence outcomes.
- Drive performance by understanding and developing people and making them accountable
