 ABOUT THE ROLE

As our next Diesel Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

  • Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Maintain, repair and service on a variety of mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently in line with Thiess and Industry standards
  • Excellent diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
  • Be highly motivated and committed to deliver quality results.
  • Follow work instructions and complete all paperwork to a high standard.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement, be able to work as an individual within the maintenance team.
  • Commitment to Risk Management and Safe Work.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you are required to have:

  • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Current Standard 11 desirable
  • Commitment to a positive safety culture
