About the role

As our next Boilermaker reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

Our Lake Vermont Project located in Dysart is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.

As a Boilermaker your role will be to:

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance of a diverse fleet in accordance with Thiess policies and procedures, safely and efficiently
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems and execute maintenance in accordance with this information
  • Be responsible for use and proper storage of workshop and personal tooling and advise the supervisor of any defects or safety issues
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Carry out pre-start checks, personal and group risk assessment as required by the task

About the you

To be successful in this role you are required to have:

  • Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent with Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
  • HR driver’s licence, EWP, Dogging and MDG25 (preferable)
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Current Standard 11
  • A commitment to a positive safety culture 
  • A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a world-class team to deliver excellence for our clients
