About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced HME Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Mount Pleasant Operation. This role is critical in delivering effective short-term maintenance planning to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective equipment availability across the site.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent – Workshop, you will work closely with Supervisors, the maintenance workforce, OEMs, and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and executed efficiently

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage short-term maintenance plans and forecasts
• Monitor equipment downtime, repair durations, and service compliance
• Ensure scheduled servicing is completed in line with maintenance strategies
• Create, manage, and close work orders in JDE, ensuring accurate coding
• Coordinate PM kits, service sheet changes, and maintenance documentation
• Support safety leadership through job observations, task observations, and hazard reporting
• Prepare and review maintenance reports (oil sampling, VIMS, payload, truck abuse)
• Liaise with OEMs, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and compliance
• Support continuous improvement, cost control, and reliability initiatives
• Assist with new plant commissioning and fleet setup

About You

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification/Engineering Degree preferred
• Demonstrated experience in open cut mining maintenance
• Previous experience in a Planner, Supervisor, or Coordinator role preferred
• Sound knowledge of NSW WHS (Mines) legislation
• Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance
• Experience using IT planning programs and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, safety-focused, and team-oriented approach
