About the role
Thiess Iron Bridge is currently seeking applications for Trainee Dump Truck Operator applications for our premier mining operation at Iron Bridge in the Pilbara, Western Australia.

2:1 roster (7D7N7RR) - FIFO Perth to Iron Bridge Mine

BIBO available for Port Hedland residents

Permanent full-time role with development

Excellent new camp facilities - Japal Village
In this role, you will:
-
Learn how to operate machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output - working in an active mining operation

Carrying out pre-start checks and participate in pre-start meetings
-
Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards
-
Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor
-
Complying with Thiess’s policies and procedures
-
Contribute to the on-going safety and culture of Thiess, Iron Bridge mining operation
About you:
-
Ability to work 7 Days & 7 Night shifts (2 week roster) in a remote location
-
Ability to manage fatigue whilst working 12 hr days, including night shift
-
Ability to sit in a Dump Truck for extended periods of time over the 14-shift cycle
-
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including regular drug and alcohol screening
-
Hold a valid full Australian drivers license (no P plates) – required
-
Able to complete a National Police Clearance
