The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.
The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity:
Roster: 2:1 | Location: Eva Copper, Queensland | Employment Type: Fulltime Max Term Contract
An exciting and challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our Australian Operations team on the Eva Copper Project. This role will play a critical part in the successful delivery of major civil works supporting the development of the project.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong, visible leadership across all site‑based civil activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications, budget and schedule. You will work closely with construction, engineering and stakeholder teams to drive performance, uphold company values and deliver outcomes aligned with industry best practice.
As a site‑based leader, you will offer adaptable and hands‑on project leadership in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment while championing safety, quality and continuous improvement across the project.
Working a 14/7 roster, your duties will include:
- Provide ethical, proactive and innovative leadership to project teams, aligning civil delivery with broader project and organisational objectives.
- Lead and manage all aspects of civil construction works, ensuring activities are executed safely, professionally and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company management systems.
- Drive delivery against schedule, cost and quality targets through effective planning, resource allocation, subcontractor management and risk management.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the client, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all civil works are conducted in accordance with WHS legislation, project standards and environmental requirements.
About You
You are a proven Civil Project Manager with extensive experience delivering large‑scale civil works in mining, resources or heavy infrastructure environments. You are passionate about people and safety, commercially astute, and comfortable leading delivery teams through complex, fast‑paced project phases.
You will bring a collaborative mindset and be outcomes‑focused, ensuring client objectives are met through robust systems, clear communication and effective stakeholder engagement.
You will also demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience managing major earthworks, infrastructure, drainage, roads, concrete and associated civil scopes on large projects.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience in cost control, contract administration, scheduling and risk management.
- In‑depth knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and environmental requirements as they apply to large civil construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage risk, supported by formal risk management and incident investigation experience.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to streamline processes, audit effectiveness and drive practical solutions on site.
