What you’ll do

Reporting to the Group Manager, Total Rewards, this role leads the design, governance and evolution of Thiess’ global reward and performance frameworks. You will shape how we recognise, reward and enable performance across a complex, multi-region organisation.

You will operate at both strategic and operational levels—setting direction, influencing executives and ensuring enterprise-wide execution.

  • Lead the development and execution of Thiess’ global reward strategy, including remuneration frameworks, incentive design and executive reward
  • Oversee annual remuneration review cycles, including governance, moderation, executive reporting and implementation
  • Provide strategic advice on complex remuneration matters, including attraction, retention and organisational design impacts
  • Design and implement contemporary performance frameworks that drive accountability, capability growth and high performance
  • Embed continuous feedback and differentiated performance approaches, moving beyond traditional annual review models
  • Establish global governance and calibration practices to ensure consistency, fairness and quality of performance outcomes
  • Lead the integration and harmonisation of reward and performance programs across M&A and organisational transformation initiatives
  • Partner with Executive stakeholders and regional teams to drive enterprise alignment, influence decision-making and enhance organisational performance

A bit about you

You are a senior Reward and Performance leader with experience operating at enterprise scale, ideally within large, complex and globally dispersed organisations.

You bring a strong balance of strategy, governance and execution, with the ability to influence at Executive level and deliver practical outcomes.

  • Deep expertise in remuneration strategy, job architecture, benchmarking and incentive design
  • Proven experience designing integrated performance and reward frameworks
  • Demonstrated success influencing Executive and Board-level stakeholders
  • Experience leading transformation, including M&A integration of reward and performance programs
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance competitiveness, risk and sustainability
  • Highly developed analytical, stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
