The Opportunity

Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Supervisor Cost Control to join our high-performing team at Jakarta Head Office

As a Senior Supervisor Cost Control you will:

• Prepare and evaluate all issues relating to the Performance of Project
• Administer the contract
• Actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times
• Communicate openly and honestly at all times within Department and external Stakeholders
• Manage legal risk and other risks in all documentation in order to make transactions viable and safe.
• Create 12-Month budgets and revised 12-Month budgets on quarterly period.
• Prepare, evaluate, and manage Forecasting package
• Update budgets and forecasts in JDE based on credible and substantiated analysis.
• Maintain an awareness of the financial status of the project to ensure that costs are maintained, and profits achieved
• Provide an accurate & timely forecast costs at completion & analysis to ensure timely identification of variations in actual vs financial year budget
• Manage and monitor the implementation of Project Improvement Strategies, weekly report, and end of month review.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to allow accurate and timely
  financial reporting for the mining project.
• Evaluate and manage the data collecting and correlation of production data, survey data to ensure accuracy of the numbers for monthly progress.
• Supervise the management of variations at project
• Provide assistances and expertise to the site relating financial system (JDE), pricing system (CATS), Financial Reporting (EIS), Production reporting (infoMine)

About you

• Bachelor's degree in civil, Mine or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a mining project role with previous experience at a mine site.
• Experience in quantity and financial modelling appropriate to task requirements.
• Able to communicate in English - written and verbal
• Familiar with Financial modelling appropriate to the tasks undertaken for the work
